2007-05-11 [Artsieladie]: *blushes & grins* Thanks! I was afraid I wouldn't get it finished in time. I've been working on it for over 2 weeks. I kept thinking of more to do with it, but finally I said, "Enough already!" lol I'm not that experienced with creating dragons, but I'm learning, little by little.  :D

2007-05-11 [Artsieladie]: I do most of my computer art with Adobe Photoshop. It's an expensive program, but I love it. For the egg, I used an AP brush, dodged & burned 'til I was happy w/ it. The glow is achieved through "layer style". The basic trees I made & then used another AP (leaf) brush. I like colors blended, smoothed, together, so I use the smudge & blur tools a lot at varying opacities. One of the greatest features I love about AP is the "layers' ability". This particular image has probably 50 some unmerged layers & many layers were merged. I made the dragons first, in a separate image & that has nearly 100 layers plus several merged layers. Other tools I use a lot are lightness/contrast, hue/saturation, auto contrast & several others. Do you have Photoshop? I'd be happy to help you with it, if I can & if you have questions about it. :D I started using AP almost 2 years ago. I found the best way to learn the program is to play around with it a lot. The other program I use quite a bit is Jasc Paint Shop Pro, although it is now a part of Corel. :)

2007-05-11 [Artsieladie]: Thank you, [Black Raven]! *smiles* Eh, maybe, [Nadie importante], but it's enjoyable work. Besides which, I'm a fanatic with perfection. It has to be as perfect as I can make it. Anything worth doing is worth giving one's best. I always keep in mind the end result. :D It's great you have Photoshop! I think you'll find the more you use it, the more you will like it, b/c you will continue to discover its many attributes. :D I think [Talkris] did a fantastic drawing. I'd love to see it in color. :) However, I'm totally in love with yours, [Black Raven], & yours, [JajaJulie]! *squeezes them* [Nadie importante], it looks like you're getting the concepts well. You have some shadowing in your image & shadowing is what gives an image depth.  :D

2007-05-11 [Nadie importante]: Yeah i do start discovering more things and finding it pleasent but i take a long time:S and this was my first photoshop...and it looks cartoonish enough to not look bad:P but i never was very good with shading and shadows...i just never felt it...I dunno...i try, but its hard:P but one day ill make uber pics:P(i hope)

2007-05-11 [Artsieladie]: You will! *hugs* It takes time & practice. I have spent mega, mega hours, #1 - learning how to use/maintain a pc & #2 - learning how to use the graphic programs & I'm still discovering little tricks & such. :D
